Sitters’ terms of use

Draft — to be checked by a lawyer. These terms are not in force: no paid booking is open today.

Version of 31/10/2026.

What Patte Blanche asks of those who offer pet care, and what it owes them: their independence, the payout of their stays, possible withholdings, notice of any change, suspension and closure of a profile, tax details.

Subject

A sitter publishes a profile, receives requests from families, accepts or declines them freely, and is paid by Patte Blanche, which collects on their behalf through Stripe. Publishing a profile is free.

Pet care: what you need to know

Independence

The sitter alone sets their price, services, the species they accept, their travel time, their days and their cancellation scale. Patte Blanche sets neither a price grid nor the content of the care, assigns no stay automatically and applies no penalty, rating or ranking linked to a refusal or an acceptance rate.

Commission and fees

Patte Blanche deducts a 10 % commission from the sitter’s price; the family also pays service fees of 15 % of that price. A booking keeps the rates of the day it is made.

Payout

The sitter is paid 24 hours after the end of the stay, to the account they opened with Stripe. A report by the family suspends the payout; a Patte Blanche team member decides within 7 days, and the payout or refund goes out at the latest thirty days after the end of the stay.

Withholdings

A payout is only withheld for four reasons: an open report, missing tax details after reminders, a profile suspended for a written reason, or a negative balance following a refund, offset against future earnings. A withholding is never a confiscation.

Changes to the terms

Any change to these terms or to the commission is announced to each sitter by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, and only applies to bookings created from that date. The sitter may close their profile at any time, free of charge.

Suspension

Patte Blanche may suspend a profile for a written reason, sent to the sitter at the latest when it takes effect: repeated reports, false declaration of status, missing tax details, breach of these terms. Stays already paid run to their end. The sitter may respond, and bring a disagreement before the mediator.

Closure

A sitter closes their profile whenever they wish, free of charge. Patte Blanche may permanently close a professional’s profile with 30 days’ notice, save for a written exception (fraud, legal obligation).

Tax details (DAC7)

From the first paid stay, the sitter provides their tax details (name, address, tax number, date of birth; for a company, legal name and registration), through Stripe or Patte Blanche. Without them after 60 days and three reminders, payouts are withheld and the profile receives no more paid requests. Patte Blanche may report them to the tax authorities depending on the authorities’ answer, and gives the sitter an annual copy before 31 January.

Contribution withholding

A micro-entrepreneur sitter only receives paid requests once Patte Blanche is registered with URSSAF for contribution withholding. The rate withheld from their share, in addition to the commission, is then shown in their account and detailed on their monthly statement; Patte Blanche takes no margin on it.

Data

What we keep of a profile, a booking and tax details is described in “Your data”. Families never see a private individual’s address or contact details; a professional’s are shown as the law requires.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. They do not deprive a sitter residing in another country of the Union of the protection afforded by the law of that country.
